Islamabad Security Dialogue (ISD)
The Islamabad Security Dialogue (ISD) is Pakistan’s flagship international security forum, organized by the Government of Pakistan to promote informed, inclusive, and policy-oriented dialogue on evolving global and regional security challenges.
Since its inception, the Dialogue has emerged as a credible platform for high-level strategic engagement, bringing together policymakers, diplomats, security practitioners, scholars, and thought leaders from across the world to exchange perspectives on peace, stability, and cooperation.
Vision
The Islamabad Security Dialogue is designed to foster constructive dialogue and intellectual exchange on contemporary security issues in an increasingly complex international environment. The forum seeks to:
- Encourage collaborative approaches to global and regional security challenges
- Promote diplomacy, dialogue, and peaceful conflict resolution
- Strengthen strategic understanding among states and institutions
- Contribute policy-relevant insights to national, regional, and global security discourse

The fourth iteration of the Islamabad Security Dialogue will be held in Islamabad as a two-day international conference, 30th – 31st March 2026, convening a distinguished and diverse group of participants, including:

- National Security Advisors’ Forum — the only dialogue of its kind in Asia, bringing together National Security Advisors from the region and beyond to exchange views on Comprehensive Security in a Disruptive World
